The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (Mumo) has officially launched a global voting system for Miss Universe Malaysia 2024.
The initiative enables the global community to participate in the selection of their ideal 2024 Miss Universe Malaysia, representing a major milestone in the pageant’s history since its first edition in 1964.
This year, Mumo has taken a bold step forward by giving the public equal power in the voting process. Voting from the public will account for 50% of the final results, which is equal to the weight of the panel judges’ votes.
This ensures that the voices of the public are heard, empowering global supporters to directly influence the outcome.
Eleen Yong, national director of Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 said the voting initiative empowered the global community to be a part of Miss Universe Malaysia’s history.
“By giving our supporters an equal voice in the selection process, we are not only embracing inclusivity but also pioneering a new era in pageantry,” she said.
Mumo’s decision to remove age and marital status restrictions for contestants this year further highlights its commitment to inclusivity and innovation.
Voting is open from now until Sept 6, giving supporters ample time to cast their votes and make their voices heard.
Supporters can access the voting platform via the official Mumo website (https://mumo.com.my/voting/), where they can purchase voting credits priced at RM1,000 each.
Voters have the flexibility to select the number of votes for their favourite contestants. Each vote includes an exclusive digital collectible (NFT) of the finalist voted for, serving as a unique memento of participation in this historic event.
Mumo is offering special incentives for voters, making the experience even more rewarding. For votes purchased before Sept 3, 2024, voters will receive gala dinner tickets, with rewards structured as follows:
- 1 Vote = 1 Gala Dinner Seat at Amethyst Table
- 2 Votes = 2 Gala Dinner Seats at Amethyst Table
- 3 Votes = 2 Gala Dinner Seats at Bronze Table
- 5 Votes = 2 Gala Dinner Seats at Gold Table
- 10 Votes = 2 Gala Dinner Seats at Platinum Table
The gala night, to be held on Sept 6, 2024, promises an evening of exquisite dining and entertainment at the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The event will feature live entertainment by the renowned group Dolla, a fashion show and dance performances by the top 16 finalists.
Additionally, Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 Lesley Cheam, will grace the occasion by crowning her successor.
