Global apparel retailer Uniqlo has opened its largest store in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 19, 2024.
The latest and largest store in Malaysia occupies 38,719 square feet and offers an extensive array of Uniqlo products and services to local patrons and tourists.
Yuki Yamada, the group executive officer of Fast Retailing and chief executive officer of Uniqlo Malaysia and Singapore said the new store marks a significant milestone in their mission to bring LifeWear closer to the community.
“Our goal is to create not just a store but a true LifeWear destination, a modern, functional design with sustainability elements that offer a comfortable and inspiring shopping experience for all,” he said.
Uniqlo The Exchange TRX stands as the pinnacle of Uniqlo’s LifeWear offerings, enhancing the shopping experience for both locals and tourists.
Featuring three stories, the store showcases a wide range of Uniqlo’s high-quality and comfortable LifeWear clothing, including the latest collections for men, women, and children.
Situated on the concourse level, the Uniqlo Coffee offers a convenient selection of drinks and snacks, providing both takeaways and dine-in options.
The Re.Uniqlo Studio located at first floor offers repair services such as embroidery and Sashiko stitching, allowing customers extend the life of LifeWear items.
The first floor features a dedicated space for Uniqlo UT T-shirts featuring motifs from pop culture icons that are popular in Malaysia and globally, including Kaws, Disney and anime inspired.
Additionally, the UTme! service enables customers to customise T-shirts and tote bags with their own designs or existing motifs.
Uniqlo made its debut in Malaysia in 2010 with its first store in Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur. Since then, the brand has received significant popularity through its LifeWear products, establishing 59 stores nationwide.
