The Malaysia Fashion, Modeling and Pageant Association (MFMPA) has announced that a new category – Non-Commercial Award – will be added for the 2023 MFMPA Awards.
The event will be held at Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTic), Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 29, 2024.
MFMPA president Dr Jason Hee said the MFMPA Awards recognise deserving current and past individuals and firms for their outstanding achievements in Malaysia’s fashion, modelling, pageant and related industries.
“Additionally, this year a new Non-Commercial Award will be given out to recognise and uplift emerging talent who are making significant contributions and fostering a culture of collaboration to the industries,” he said at a press conference of MFMPA Award 2023 at MaTic on Jan 26, 2024.
Hee said about 60 awards will be presented to nominees who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the industry.
Categories encompass fashion, modeling, pageant, event space, makeup, hairstylists, media, public relations agency, production house, graphic designers, choreographers, actors and entertainment-related sectors.
The panel of judges selected for the MFMPA 2023 is comprised of distinguished individuals with extensive industry experience and expertise. Distinguished judges include Bon Zainal, Amber Chia, Carrie Lee, Datin Winnie Loo, Datin Maylene Yong, Dato Nancie Foo, Dr. Bala, Carol Lee and Teresa Dian Chew.
Nominations are now open for the 4th MFMPA Awards 2023.
The deadline for the submission of entries is on Feb 7, 2024. The various category winners will be honoured at an awards dinner to take place in Kuala Lumpur, with the date and venue to be disclosed at a later time.
The MFMPA Awards is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), including its agencies Tourism Malaysia and the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).
