One lucky employee of Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd won a Telsa Model 3 during the company’s annual dinner and townhall 2023/2024 on Jan 12, 2024.
The event was held at The Vertical, Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the achievements and outstanding performance of its employees in 2023, with a night of great food, lucky draw prizes and performances.
Shelby Xiang Xiao Hui, who holds the position of assistant manager at Mamee Jonker House in Melaka, was one of 45 top performers who participated in the lucky draw.
Mamee-Double Decker Group CEO Pierre Pang said, “Shelby works in Mamee Jonker House. She used to work in Renaissance Melaka with no experience in retail. But ever since she joined Mamee Jonker House, the store has been one of the best performing units in Mamee.”
“So, we are very grateful to have Shelby and many ‘monsters’ around here, unfortunately it isn’t possible to give everyone a car,” Pang quipped.
The Tesla Model 3 electric car is worth RM189,000.
There were also other prizes won by outstanding employees, including complimentary holiday trip to South Korea and cash awards.
The movie star-themed event was attended by some 550 employees who enjoyed the night dressed up as their favourite movie characters.
Besides the delicious food and attractive lucky draw prizes, the employees were also entertained with internal dance performances by their very own staff, and a funny performance by stand-up comedian Douglas Lim who got everyone laughing at his jokes.
