STM Lottery Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd) has once again collaborated with Strategic Methods and Ongoing Achievements Bhd (Semoa), an NGO, for an early Christmas celebration at two Orang Asli villages in Selangor and Pahang.
The event was attended by the Orang Asli Christian community in Kampung Sungai Kelubi in Rawang, Selangor on Dec 3, 2023, and Kampung Kepong Kuchai in Raub, Pahang on Dec 9, 2023.
STM Lottery contributed RM35,000 for Semoa to organise the Christmas party and to distribute food provisions to 800 adults and Christmas gifts to 500 children.
STM Lottery communications and sustainability deputy general manager Giam Say Khoon said the event was aimed at spreading joy and happiness during the holiday season.
“Christmas is a time for joy, compassion and sharing. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Semoa since 2013 and contribute to the well-being of the Orang Asli community.
“Our hope is to spread warmth and happiness so that the underprivileged would also enjoy this festive season,” he said.
STM Lottery also sent its Helping Hands team which actively participate in events to create a meaningful and memorable experience for the community.
The Christmas events featured a range of activities, entertainment, and traditional festive elements that captured the spirit of the season.
“This event is a testament to STM Lottery’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable community development under the Helping Hands initiative,” Giam added.
