Grand Gaia International will host its inaugural edition of Miss & Mrs Gaia World Pageant in December, to provide an empowering platform for the women.
Organized by Grand Gaia Enterprise, and co-organized by Marvelous Miss from China, the pageant grand final will take place on Dec 5, 2023 at the HGH Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur.
Irene Wong, the founder of Grand Gaia International and Miss & Mrs Gaia World made the announcement to host the beauty contest during a press conference held at Avante Hotel, Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya on October 27, 2023.
She said that the Miss & Mrs. Gaia World competition fosters a culture of caring built on three main elements of diversity, inclusivity and respect.
“The competition attracts participants from all over the world, showing differences and similarities between countries and cultures. It emphasizes women’s leadership and social responsibility, encouraging participants to demonstrate their strengths and talents and become advocates and agents for positive change.”
The pageant has attracted delegates from countries and territories around the world, including China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, USA, Australia, Russia, Bangladesh and host Malaysia.
At the press conference, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was held between Grand Gaia Enterprise and Taro Pictures Sdn Bhd, as well as between Grand Gaia Enterprise and Graceful Entertainment Sdn Bhd.
Wong explained that Gaia was the name given to the mother of the earth in Greek mythology, and is regarded as the creator of the universe and the source of life.
“Gaia is depicted as a beautiful and powerful goddess who governs the earth and all things, and protects the prosperity and balance of all forms of life.
“She is considered as a symbolic figure representing respect and protection for nature and ecosystems.”
Wong said that the Grand Gaia International is a beauty and fashion platform that brings together the strategic combination of cultural exchange and business cooperation.
“This platform is committed to creating an international and high-end platform that brings together outstanding individuals, entrepreneurs, scholars, and politicians from all industries around the world to explore business opportunities, share innovative ideas, expand international perspectives, and promote global development and shared prosperity,” she added.
The event was attended by MBPJ Zone 7 councilor John Leong Chee Cheng, who represented Bandar Utama assemblyman and Selangor exco for public health and environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Qian Hai International Foundation founder Dato’ Dr K.S Soo and The Knights Award founder and brand advisor Dr Zyro Wong.
Also present were audition judges who included renowned influencer Sabee Chin, Miss Heritage International fourth runner-up Joyce Lim and A+ Digital Marketing Agency Asia CEO Dr Stanley Yap.
Meanwhile, Emily Tang, the co-founder of Miss & Mrs Gaia World said the concept of the Miss & Mrs Gaia World contest is focused on beauty, intelligence, peace and environmental protection.
“The purpose of this concept is to encourage contestants to not only showcase their physical beauty but also their intelligence, cultural knowledge, environmental awareness, and the pursuit of peace.
”Through this concept, the Miss & Mrs Gaia World contest hopes to provide a platform for women around the world to showcase themselves and realize their self-worth,” she said.
“At the same time, the pageant also aims to promote values of environmental protection and peace, friendship, women leadership, generosity through charity, and make contributions to the global social development,” she added.
A defining aspect of this pageant is its commitment to philanthropy. Wong and Tang also announced that a portion of the proceeds generated from ticket sales for the Grand Finals will be donated to the Qian Hai International Foundation.
