MR DIY bags Putra Enterprising Brand of the Year 2022 award

MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad has got off to a good start this new year by bagging the ‘Putra Enterprising Brand of the Year’, one of the coveted awards at the 2022 edition of Putra Brand Awards.

This year’s awards were announced and presented at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya on January 13, 2023.

This is the second year running that the Malaysian home improvement retailer has been accorded a Putra Brand Award; in 2021, the retailer took Gold in the award’s retail category.

“This is an especially meaningful award as it comes directly from the votes of the consumers.

“Our vision at MR DIY is to make everyday essentials available to the rakyat at “Always Low Prices”, and this award acknowledges that we are doing it effectively and successfully,” said MR D.I.Y. Group marketing head Alex Goh.

He added: “We thank Malaysians for their continued loyalty, and we dedicate this award to our 16,000 plus employees for their hard work and passion.

“The award has further inspired us to continue to create innovative retail experiences that capture the imagination of consumers, deliver value, and positively impact the lives of Malaysians.”

In 2022, over 6,000 consumers submitted 25,000 responses to ascertain which brands emerged leaders in their respective categories. 

The ‘Putra Enterprising Brand of the Year’was one of the coveted awards of the evening.  It reflects the recipient’s outstanding achievements in developing a brand that has made strong inroads into the international market through product or service innovation, comprehensive marketing, and communications programmes, as well as through strong CSR commitments.
