This year, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is presenting its ‘Abundance of Prosperity’ celebrations to usher in ample luck and prosperity for shoppers; Da Men USJ ushers the new year with a bang, literally with its ‘Beats of Prosperity’; and Intermark Mall invites shoppers to evoke the five senses with its ‘Sense of Prosperity’.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s centre court features a pair of 20-feet tall Prosperity Rabbits to beckon good luck and fortune.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is presenting its ‘Abundance of Prosperity’ Chinese New Year celebrations to usher in ample luck and prosperity for shoppers in the coming year.

The mall is also celebrating its 15th anniversary with year-long festivities to mark the milestone moment.

From now until Feb 5, the Centre Court has been transformed into an oriental garden which feature golden rabbits, vibrant flowers and hundreds of hanging red lanterns.

The centrepiece is a pair of Pavilion Prosperity Rabbits to beckon good luck and fortune. Standing 20-feet in height, the rabbits are adorned with hundreds of roses, a flower that symbolises longevity and sweetness in Chinese culture.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s centre court resembles an oriental garden featuring golden rabbits, vibrant flowers and hundreds of hanging red lanterns.

In collaboration with Lancôme, the main entrance features a ‘Let’s Bloom Together’ display of lush cherry blossom trees, blooming roses and Chinese lanterns, signalling the abundance of beauty and fortune in the year ahead.

There will be plenty of entertainment such as the ‘Leap of Prosperity’ acrobatic lion dance performances every weekend and public holiday at 1.30pm, as well as Prosperity Rabbits Dance performances and walkabout every weekend and public holiday at 2pm at the Centre Court.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s centre court is surrounded by cherry blossoms, roses and other spring flowers which make a perfect backdrop for shoppers to take photos.

There are special appearances from the God of Prosperity at 3pm and a magician dressed in Chinese New Year garb every weekend and public holiday. Shoppers will be surprised with candies, fortune cookies, chocolates and shopping vouchers.

Shoppers can watch a ‘Classical New Beginnings’ drum performance by Taylor’s College on Jan 15 & 29 and Feb 5 at 5pm.

Shoppers can browse the ‘Abundance of Prosperity’ bazaar to shop for rabbit-themed festive decorations for their home, hampers for gifting, delicious snacks and delicacies.

Shoppers will be rewarded when they shop this Chinese New Year. With a minimum spend of RM300 in a single receipt at speciality stores, shoppers will receive Pavilion KL Angpow Packets for free. With RM800 spent, shoppers can redeem two Dadi Cinema Pavilion KL movie passes.

Maybank cardholders can redeem a free Cherry Blossoms Pyrex 2.4L mixing bowl with RM1,000 spent, a free Cherry Blossoms Pyrex 2L Casserole with lid with RM2,000 spent in a single receipt or a free TSL Rabbit pure gold coin packet with RM5,000 spent in a single receipt.

Eight lucky top spenders with the highest cumulative spend across the campaign period will go home with a TSL 12 Treasures 18K Gold Diamond necklace pendant set worth RM4,690.

Da Men USJ

At Da Men USJ, visitors can beat the drums for new year blessings.
Shoppers can take photos at Da Men’s CNY deco which features colourful lions, surrounded by lush florals and lanterns from now until Feb 15.

Da Men’s ‘Beats of Prosperity’ theme is welcoming the Year of the Rabbit with a bang, literally.

Shoppers may immerse themselves in the rhythmic thumping of drums and clashing of cymbals in gravity-defying acrobatic lion dance performances that plays an integral part in ushering in the new year.

In collaboration with VR Drumming Academy, the mall will showcase a display of 300 oriental drums where shoppers can beat the drums for new year blessings with colourful oriental lions, surrounded by lush florals and lanterns from now until Feb 15.

There will be acrobatic lion dance performances taking place every weekend at 2pm and drum performances every Sunday at 2.30pm.

Not to be missed is the Beats of Prosperity Drum Show on Jan 14 and 15 involving 300 performers from VR Drumming Academy. Shoppers of all ages are invited to take part in the big drumming event.

In collaboration with INTI College Subang Jaya, the mall will encourage shoppers to participate in the ‘Largest Doodle In A Mall’ stunt on January 14 from 11am to 6pm.

There is also the Prosperity Chinese New Year Marketplace on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for shoppers to find hampers, gifts, decorations and snacks for the festive season.

Intermark Mall

Embark on a ‘Senses of Prosperity’ journey at Intermark Mall this Chinese New Year.

From now until Feb 5, Intermark Mall is inviting shoppers to embark on a ‘Senses of Prosperity’ journey at the mall this Chinese New Year.

Shoppers are invited to immerse themselves in the spirit of the festive season with elements to evoke the five senses – sight, sound, taste, touch and smell.

Shoppers can head to the various senses booths on display at the ground atrium. On display are renowned fashion designer Carven Ong’s modern take on the traditional cheongsam.

Other booths display Korean-inspired fashion and jewellery as well as home decoration, gifts and aroma diffusers.

There are many activities and performances lined up to keep visitors entertained. Check out dance and drum performances by students from Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur and Allegro Music and Art.

The lion dances will take place with a special appearance of a Prosperity Rabbit mascot.

Visitors can create their own personalized fragrance at the Artisanal Handmade Perfume workshop on Jan 20, or create their own paper masterpieces at the Art of Paper Cutting workshop on Jan 13.

Shoppers who spend RM188 and above in a single receipt may redeem a set of Intermark Mall angpow packets, and those who spend RM388 and above in a single receipt may redeem an angpow pouch housed with Intermark Mall’s angpow packets. By spending RM988, shoppers can redeem a Mini Vatiri Round or Oval Casserole (set of 2). The top ten spenders will each receive a STAUB pepper cocotte worth RM299.
