Drums and cymbals to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at Da Men USJ

Da Men USJ welcomes the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit with lion dance performances, drum demonstrations, bright coloured floral decorations and lanterns.

Da Men Mall in UEP Subang Jaya (USJ has launched its Chinese New Year campaign with the theme of ‘Beats of Prosperity’, welcoming the Year of the Rabbit with a bang, literally.

Shoppers may immerse themselves in the rhythmic thumping of drums and clashing of cymbals in gravity-defying acrobatic lion dance performances.

From now until Feb 15, the mall, in collaboration with VR Drumming Academy, will showcase a display of 300 oriental drums where shoppers can beat the drums for new year blessings with colourful oriental lions, surrounded by lush florals and lanterns.

Not to be missed is the Beats of Prosperity Drum Show on January 14 and 15 involving 300 performers from VR Drumming Academy.

There will be acrobatic lion dance performances taking place every weekend at 2pm, and drum performances every Sunday at 2.30pm.

Shoppers can participate in the ‘Largest Doodle In A Mall’ stunt in collaboration with INTI College Subang Jaya on January 14 January from 11am to 6pm.

There is also the Prosperity Chinese New Year Marketplace on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for shoppers to find hampers, gifts, decorations and snacks for the festive season.

On top of that, there are rewards awaiting shoppers. They can redeem Chinese New Year Angpow packets with every RM50 spent in a single receipt mall-wide.

Those who spend RM288 (RM388 for Jaya Grocer) in two combined receipts will be able to redeem an exclusive gift in a Prosperity Draw. The gifts include plush bath towels, limited-edition Lion Dance nanoblock (block toy), assorted food containers and cash vouchers.

Additionally, shoppers who dine at the mall also stand a chance to win prizes worth up to RM20,000. With a minimum spend of RM50 in a single receipt at F&B outlets, shoppers can enter the ‘Eat & Win’ contest and win a staycation at Pavilion Suites Kuala Lumpur and buffet dining for two pax at The Courtyard, Pavilion Hotel.
