Continuing with its annual charity drive, the “Buggy of Joy” donation drive by Tropicana Corp Bhd returns for the third consecutive year taking place from now until Dec 15, 2022.
Organized by Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of Tropicana, the drive will collect dry goods and cash for underprivileged homes in the Klang Valley.
Tropicana group managing director Dion Tan said in keeping with Tropicana’s mantra of redefining the art of living and caring, the proceeds of the charity drive will be channelled to over 15 charity homes across the Klang Valley.
“Every year, we organize the Buggy of Joy charity drive to encourage the community to get involved and put a smile on the faces of those in need.
“This year, we started earlier in the hope of collecting more donations to help support and sustain these charity homes.
“The rising cost of living will affect the underprivileged even more, so every little bit helps make a difference. We urge everyone to drop off their donations at the Tropicana Gardens Mall,” he said.
Tan added that Tropicana staff from more than 16 divisions have thus far pledged to donate to the charity drive.
For the duration of the drive, residents can drop off items near the customer service counter at Centre Court, CC Floor, Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya.
Suitable donation items for the homes include:
- Bulk dry goods (rice, oatmeal, noodles, biscuits and pasta)
- Beverages (milk powder, baby milk, Milo, etc.)
- Halal canned food (sardines, baked beans, etc.)
- Healthcare products (masks, sanitisers, toothpaste, diapers, sanitary pads, adult diapers, etc.)
- Cooking essentials (cooking oil, salt, sugar).
