A great lineup of Japanese and Malaysian artistes will be performing at the Japan x Malaysia Friendship Concert 2022 at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Oct 30.
The event, organized by Toybox Projects and supported by Tourism Malaysia, is a cross cultural promotional concert to commemorate the long-time friendship between Japan and Malaysia.
The concert aims to introduce the various types of artists from both Japan and Malaysia.
The Japanese headliners slated to blaze the stage include BACK-ON, Centimillimental and FEMM, while Malaysia’s favourite artists performing are Floor 88, Estranged and Sakura Band.

The first Japan x Malaysia Friendship Concert was held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach in 2017 in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Japan.
The 2022 Japan x Malaysia Friendship Concert is the second series and part of a larger event, the Japan Arts, Culture and Entertainment (JACE) 2022, that will take place at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) in Kuala Lumpur from Oct 28 to Nov 13.
Throughout the 17 days, visitors to the “Harajuku Kawaii” themed JACE 2022 will be presented with bona fide Japanese activities that will showcase up-close, personal and authentic experiences of the internationally popular destination Harajuku in Tokyo, Japan.
Among the highlights of JACE 2022 are Meet & Greet sessions with BACK-ON, Centimillimental and FEMM; Harajuku fashion show, Anisong singing contest, Lolita fashion gathering, Miss Lolita 2022 competition, traditional Japanese festival games, Japan theme stand-up comedy contest and Japanese tea ceremony demonstration.
There are also creators workshops and activities alongside the many booths filled with Japanese products or brands that will be brought in exclusively from Harajuku.
A joint press conference and opening ceremony of JACE 2022 and Japan x Malaysia Friendship Concert 2022 will be held on October 28, 2022 at LaLaport BBCC.
