Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) in Shah Alam will be holding a one-day blood donation drive supporting the National Blood Bank’s appeal to the public to donate for those in need of blood.
Under the slogan of ‘Donate Blood, Be a Hero’, the Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare-owned private hospital is inviting the public to donate blood to ensure sufficient blood supply on hand for patients in need nationwide.
Donors can head over to the hospital lobby on 8 April 2021 between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm.
ADMC will take stringent measures to ensure the highest safety standards during this blood donation drive. Donors are required to wear masks and go through general Covid-19 screening at the hospital entrance.
Donors may pre-book a seat with no registration fee. They are required to bring their identification cards for registration at the blood donation drive. Alternatively, they may register at this link.
For more information about the blood donation drive, email healthcare@ramsaysimedarbyhealth.com or call 03-5639 1212.
Registration will be closed by 6 April 2021 before 6.00 pm upon reaching 60 pax.
In a recent news report, National Blood Centre deputy director 1 Dr Tun Maizura Mohd Fathlullah said blood supply at the centre was running low.
The blood bank hit below the safe zone and needed between 500 and 600 bags of blood collection daily to saves the lives of many in hospitals, such as cases of surgery, accidents, pregnant women and Thalassaemia patients.
