Schneider Electric appoints Eugene Quah as new country general manager for Malaysia & Brunei

Eugene Quah appointed as new country general manager for Schneider Electric Malaysia & Brunei.

Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Eugene Quah as the country general manager for Malaysia & Brunei.

He assumes the role from Astri Ramayanti Dharmawan who will be returning to Jakarta to take on a new role as business vice president for services and sustainability after three years leading Schneider Electric’s local operations.

In his new role, Eugene will play a pivotal role in steering the next phase of strategy and growth in the two countries.

He will oversee all strategic initiatives and operational efficiency processes while leading the company towards successful revenue and organic growth.

The company aims to drive performance through future-ready talents with a diverse, empowered and digitally proficient team.

It is embarking on a digital transformation initiative – integrating world-leading process and energy technologies, endpoint to cloud connecting products, controls, software and services, across the entire lifecycle, enabling integrated company management for homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industries in the nation.

Eugene brings 15 years of experience in business development across diverse key end-user segments in the industrial automation field to the new role.

He joined Schneider Electric in 2015 as regional sales support manager, industrial control & drives, overseeing the drives business within the East Asia and Japan region. He was promoted in 2019 as industrial automation sales director for Malaysia, revolutionising channels, and specialising in distribution, original equipment manufacturer and system integrator channels.

In 2021, Eugene rose through the ranks as the cluster business vice president, where he was responsible for the Industrial Automation P&L for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
