McDonald’s Malaysia treats needy kids to new minions movie

McDonald’s Malaysia collaborates with RMHC Malaysia and TGV Cinemas to bring a fun-filled movie day out to underprivileged children.

McDonald’s Malaysia and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia treated some 100 children of three welfare homes to a special movie screening of ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ at TGV Cinemas, Jaya Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya recently.

The welfare homes were Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, Ampang, Selangor; Rumah Hope Children’s Home, Petaling Jaya; and Rumah Bakti Nur Ain (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Nur Ain Bangi Selangor).

After the movie, McDonald’s hosted a Minions-themed party for the children at McDonald’s Section 14, within a stone’s throw of Jaya Shopping Centre.

Happy Meals and fun activities were provided for the children as well as a birthday celebration for birthday boys and girls of the month.

Each home also received RM5,000 in donation from RMHC Malaysia.

McDonald’s said its collaboration with RMHC Malaysia and TGV Cinemas further solidifies the company’s commitment to its purpose of feeding and fostering the child-focused communities where McDonald’s operates in, in line with its Komuniti @ McDonald’s and RMHC program.
