She attributed her success in winning the title through hard work and determination. She is also the winner of Most Popular and Best Eloquence subsidiary titles.

“It was my mum who encouraged me to join the pageant. She has been one of my biggest supporters since I was young. Furthermore, I joined the pageant because I’m passionate about spreading awareness on how we can protect our planet and at the same time understand humanity’s impact on nature,” said the mother to an eight-year-old son.

This is her second pageant title. She won her first pageant title of Miss Malaysia Dream Girl of the Year in 2004.

The senior lecturer at a university said of beauty: “The beauty of a woman is skin-deep and it must be felt in the heart.”

Sudhashini is excited about representing Malaysia and hopes to shine on the global stage when she competes at international pageant next year.

“In order to bring home the crown, I need to be physically, mentally and emotionally prepared.  I also need to learn about how Malaysia and the rest of the world are playing their part in protecting our planet and suggest possible ways of using the resources available on our planet but in a sustainable manner.”

In her spare time, Sudhashini enjoys dancing, singing and creating video content.

“It was my first pageant. When they called my name, I was taken completely by surprise. I never thought that I could win this competition,” said the mother of two boys, aged seven and 10.

“I am 154 cm (5’ 1”). Despite hard to reach stuff on top of my closet, I’m good, happy-go-lucky person and my life runs pretty smoothly and easier without letting things bother me.”

Lim also won two subsidiary titles of Most Congeniality and Best Talent.

She was surprised but excited and happy when she emerged as the winner of Mrs Elite Malaysia Petite 2021.

“I joined the competition with relaxed state of mind and confidence so I didn’t really feel pressured to win, and I ended up being just like normal and that was the real me,” she said.

Tan, standing 162cm (5’ 4”), expressed her gratitude to her family for supporting her all the way.

“I’m thankful to my family who has supported and motivated me for my success in this beauty pageant.”

Being a petite person doesn’t become a problem for Tan.

“It is easy to fit to any kind of clothing and still be able to look and feel great in it. I almost never have any problems trying on clothes. I’m confident with my body.”

Tan, who is 50 this year, explained that it was pageant organizer Madam Lim Siew Cheng who inspired her to contest.

“Madam Lim changed my perspective and the way I look at things. She has that aura, confidence, and still maintains a woman’s attractiveness. That really made me rethink. She made me realized that women, of any age, should have their own attractiveness and still not too late to be able to join beauty pageants.

“It’s important for us women to be happy and confident in our own body and mind, and should not stop improving ourselves just because of age but go along with it and step out of our comfort zones,” she said.

Tan enjoys physical hobbies such as exercise and hiking, and playing darts.

The kindergarten teacher and mother of three kids, aged 8, 10 and 15, who also won Best Talent subsidiary title for her belly dance, has shown that petite women can be very talented and skillful.

“My height is 162 cm. I challenged myself to do belly dance performance in my final talent show. I really don’t have basic in that kind of dance but I believe practice makes perfect and the power of persistence.

“I never expect to win the Best Talent title. Other contestants had teachers to guide them to dance. But for me, I learn to dance just by YouTube videos,” said Liew who had won runner-up in Mrs. Malaysia Kebaya 2019.

Contestants lit up the stage with their energetic dance performance during the pageant final.
